Handspun Wild Tussah Silk for Nikki Gabriel

We recently finished a spinning project for knitwear and textile designer, Nikki Gabriel who has just blogged about it here. We handspun the wild tussah silk in Wellington, and then she hand dyed the yarn in these beautiful natural dye colours.

Also, our organic merino One Ply yarn is now available on Gather's online shop here.

Textile Arts Center

It's been an exciting and busy time expanding to the US, and I am thrilled to announce our first US stockist is the Textile Arts Center in New York. Our yarns are available in their Manhattan location and online here.

I had a wonderful visit at the TAC a few weeks ago, and was so excited to check out what they are doing! They host a variety of textile classes and getaways for learning, open workspace for practice, an artist-in-residency program and much more - all with a contemporary eye. For some time, the TAC has been a source of inspiration for me and many others, so I'm really excited to share this news with you guys. For those in NY, or anyone headed there, be sure to stop in.

Til next time..
